Delicate Arch

Delicate Arch

Forrest's Thoughts:

"Hum de dum do. Hum de dum- uh..."

There ya go. That's a play-by-play of my thoughts leading up to seeing this crazy arch in Arches National Park, Utah.

Yes, Delicate Arch! The easiest hike we've done so far on our cross-country trip. (I hope you've figured that we're on a trip if you've been reading this blog frequently)

The hike was tagged 'moderate' by the Park Service. Eh. 3.1 miles round-trip with only 480 feet of elevation barely even qualifies as a moderate hike for us. But it is in the desert, and without water it would be much harder. I suppose the Parks are right. People really do do dumb things, like hiking in the desert without water.

Also, we found the Tatooine! Not really. But the picture shown below (and up top) is close enough.
