Timberline Pass, Or Marmots Galore

Timberline Pass, Or Marmots Galore

Forrest's Thoughts:

Marmots:  heavily built, gregarious, burrowing rodents of both Eurasia and North America, typically living in mountainous country.

Or lots of weasel things.

Timberline pass, in Rocky Mountain National Park, is filled with marmots. It is also above tree line and everything else. It's two miles above sea level! That's kinda high up.

Right as we rounded the final bend in the trail...BOOM! MARMOTS!

The only other big thing was we literally ran out a storm on our way back. But that's not soo interesting.

The hike was about four miles long and had no blazes. There were cairns, though. Good hike for a person who likes to be with the birds and look out mile after mile. Who doesn't?

A word of caution- it's so high up that the atmosphere is really thin, and you could die from lack of oxygen. YAYYY!

Just don't sprint it and you'll be fine. Believe me, I ran part of it. You'll be fine.

That's all.
