The Last Bison

The Last Bison

Yes, the one, the only Last Bison. (It's the last, so there's only one, and the 'The' is implied))

The Last Bison is my second favorite performance ever, after Mr. Q (I saw Paul McCartney once, but I don't count it because it was so long ago. It's the best anyway, hands down)

Anyway, The Last Bison used to be much more acoustic. They've had a couple of changes in band members. It's gone from guys and girls to just five guys. Two of the guys joined recently, and three of the original guys stayed. This was their first gig with the whole pile.

They have migrated from a light acoustic americana to a heavier americana. On the stage there is a bass/cello player, a drummer, a lead singer/guitarist, and two keyboarders. They perform many of the songs that the original band played, but with a new electric twist. They also played a few new songs, but those aren't out yet. Their song 'Switzerland' threw them into the musical light with it's beautiful, uplifting lyrics and equally inspiring music video.

This photo was a total accident, but thanks to the wonderful iPhone 7 camera, it came out awesome.

They have lyrics, that, as far as I can tell, are clean. Well worth seeing. I did an interview with the lead singer for school if you want to read even more, available at HHS Media. You can also visit them at their website here.

I also interviewed the lead singer of the opening band Strong Water in the same article. I'll have a post up on them here sometime.
